Diary Doodles

Yesterday night I got bored after going offline, so after writing in my diary, I began doodling. You can see from here what I’ve been watching recently. =D I guess Adeline would know most of it lah, since we’re always sharing Youtube videos and discussing about Jap stuff. Here you go!

In case you’re wondering about the actual content, I’ll just list them down…

1. Jun the prankster on NinoArashi: here.
2. Sho’s hair. Ade only showed me a picture of him… weird parting with long long bangs.
3. Tsuka Takashi’s and Inoue Maoh’s CM: here.
4. Nino’s & Jun’s air guitar: here.
5. Chibi Sho and Kinki Kids: here.
6. Ohno got hit: here.
7. Aiba’s English: here.
8. Toma is still a Johnny’s Junior, after all these years, and even when Hey! Say! JUMP has debuted… Owww =( Senpai of the juniors forever? No way….!
9. Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru – The girl Shizuru at the bottom left. The movie is soo sooo good! The story branched out from another film, Renai Shashin (Collage of Our Lives) starring Ryuhei Matsuda and Hirosue Ryoko, which I’m constantly looking for. I love this version, and I’m sure it’s about as good as the other. It stars Hiroshi Tamaki (Nodame Cantabile, I heard it’s really funny and good too) and Aoi Miyazaki (this is the first movie of her that I’ve watched. So far I like her! Really glad that she’s married to Sousuke Takaoka (that’s Sugimura from Battle Royale hehe)).
10. Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! (^_^)~ The IMD bbq-cum-steamboat-cum-fondue session at Joshua’s house today was priceless. So many people turned up for it! And thanks Grace for the Barney lantern…. weeee!

Waseda Shibuya YAY!

Every time it comes to the holidays, appletastic would disallow me to access and blog. I think that my domain’s cursed! Okay, be it my domain, my IP address, my internet connection… The only reason I’m able to blog now is because I’m using an anonymous proxy server. So it must be IP address then, blocked for some obscure reason. Still, there are things I can’t do, like accessing my ftp and uploading photos.

It’s friday :S for the past week, I’d spent it on cleaning out my room. Literally throwing away 10,20 bags of unwanted things away. Can’t wait to redesign my room with the new furniture! Weeeee! Since Monday’s tt training, my body’s been aching quite badly. Of all the girls, only Carmen, Cass and I went. I trained a bit with Carmen first, then Raymond, after which we sat down and he gossipped to me about Daniel hahahar. Too bad too bad.

Last Sunday, Jac Naomi and myself made our way to Waseda Shibuya Senior High School for the festival. Although it’s located at some obscure place near Jurong East station, it was almost like we travelled to Japan itself! SQUEEEEEEEEE!! I love love love the atmosphere, where everyone spoke in Japanese and some students were even dressed in kimono and yukata. I regret not visiting earlier because there were only about 2 hours left till the closure by the time we cabbed there. The entire fest was reminiscent of the one in Nobuta wo Produce! A class even set up a haunted house, and I sooo expected Akira dressed as a vampire in there ;) Bright corridors packed with students (I think it was easy to tell who were Japanese, and who were local) and parents and kids, representatives walking around promoting their class, MCs talking into their mic whose words became so muffled I couldn’t make out anything at all. Japanese school… I love!

We queued first for Shinobi where they ‘trained’ Ninjas haha. CUTE GUYS. That class had a lot of cute guys hahaha that I want to bring home. (ROFL) Then we saw really cute little kids as well; several kids walked past and I nearly couldn’t tell that they were boys if not for one of their names, Eita, imprinted at the back of his soccer jersey. OMG cuteness! More cuteness from some bishies I spotted around the school hahaha.

And then there was another attraction to die for… Hana Yori 2B! We caught the last show at 3.45pm which lasted for half an hour. A parody of my favourite jdrama Hana Yori Dango. Yatta! While the performance went on, I took some video clips and photos and compiled them into a video =) Enjoy the video along with the captions hehe! Music from the HYD soundtrack. Watch watch!!!

Video taken down. – 3 Oct ’07

Sugoi!!! I was so tickled by their performance. By the way, if you didn’t notice, the ‘female’ lead is actually a guy, lol. As I observed the corridors, one of the classes had the words ???(Health Room) written in a HUGE font covering the entire wall of their class. This reminded me of UMEDA from Hana Kimi haha. I wonder what was inside! We didn’t get to see the haunted house in the end, which is why I made up my mind to VISIT AGAIN NEXT YEAR! Kyaaaaaa ~ Even after we left, I was still giddy from the excitement. =/ and it makes me wonder why am I studying in a poly here. Hahaha.

I finished Hana Kimi manga yesterday night. Love the ending =) very much. I looked up the internet and found an image of Lee Jun Ki that I wanted to try sketching, was doing it halfway when it suddenly occured to me that he might fit into the role of Umeda Hokuto! O M G! Just the other time Adeline and I were discussing how it was almost impossible to find someone resembling Umeda during the time when the Hana Kimi jdrama just started showing. Oh, now it has ended with a 2-hour finale special! I’ll watch it on Veoh soon!

A few days back, I also caught Boku wa Imouto ni Koi wo suru on Veoh which stars Matsumoto Jun and Eikura Nana. What a beautiful movie! I love the very slow pace and many moments of silence that enables tension to be built up in the audience. Though this is a story in which a pair of siblings fall in love with each other, to me it felt more like forbidden love (same sentiments, Ade ;) between two good looking people hahaha. The incest is subtly implied, the soundtrack is great, but the only thing that bothered me was the audio recorded at the set. It sucks! I could hear a lot of noise other than what we were suppose to be hearing, and I don’t know if it’s because of the uploader. But it really really seems screwed up. Okay, it’s the only thing anyway. Matsujun’s performance left me speechless… especially in the last scene with Eikura Nana. Much <3. There isn't much action going on throughout the film or that sort of scenes just in case you’re expecting it. I can only conclude that the story takes place within quite a short period of time and few settings. It’s all about their relationship and the difficult choices they have to face and decisions to make.

One last update. The Threadless parcel arrived yesterday in the form of a big box! Weeee! I’ll be happy for the rest of the week.. haha oh yeah it’s already the weekends.

P2, banned from now

First of all. Inspired by Magritte’s painting, and THE Mr Yong – A new wallpaper! Hey, a tribute to P2 and everything that begins with P huh. ESPECIALLY, I stress, especially the word Pipe. From now on, P2 is banned from your vocabulary. Mwahaha.

I sort of miss the many nights spent dining at the bbtea shop (whoosh! popcorn chicken cheese fries mee goreng oreo bubble tea!) after hours of working in school. Submission day everyone was panicking, because no one wanted to be late. And some people commented that I was running like an idiot from Xorex to the library and back. Yeah I was trying to prove I could run that fast. No more like I was getting my reflection printed and 3 extra pages of development zapped. Man the library aunty was, I don’t know, her movements seemed to be in slow-mo. I made it back in the end; back at the general office for my group’s submission 5 minutes before 5pm. That was very very close. While some groups were late for submission, it’s most definitely because of problems with the CDs in which they were to burn their projects. I’ll make sure never to buy them from the bookshop again :S

Last Thursday and Friday afternoons were spent in the LT for the final presentations. Yong drew lots, my group was the 4th group (of 6) to present on Friday. I think to top it off, everyone did extremely well! It’s true that we’ve gone a long way since our proposal stage, and it’s amazing to see what everyone else could do. And it’s interesting to see how individuals click together (or fall apart, sadly) in the course of this module.

Yeah well, I’m probably too lazy to type reflections again for P2. Let’s just say my group did a good job during presentation. Or rather, it was what we showed to everyone during presentation because from the 3 lecturers, we received no negative comments about it. I was extremely overwhelmed and surprised… the result had indeed paid off the effort we put into this. Omg I’ve never worked so hard in my life (since O’levels maybe?), turning nocturne as did most of my coursemates, sleeping at 6,7 am daily, meeting our groups at noon, working late into the night and then the cycle continues.

Here’s a partial documentation of our project, which is on Open House 2008. Our chosen theme is Toyhouse as a literal representation of the Open House. Font used is High Fiber, or else handwritten. Tagline: Don’t leave your dreams… Live it. Pages are: splash, homepage, masterminds, tagboard, toolbox, life in TDS, sitemap, contact, faq and lastly 8 course pages (3 pages for each course for its overview, entry requirements and showcase). Screenshots will be up next time.

Click the above to enter. Only the splash > homepage works, the rest of the links won’t bring you anywhere. I’ll just show you these two pages which I’ve done since I like them so much.

Happy 912, Leslie

Although it’s a late greeting, Happy 912, Leslie.

On the evening of 12 September, I was at Blue Jazz with the friends (after P2 submission) and the song “Even Now” was playing over the system. Originally by Barry Manilow, released in 1978. Leslie recorded this song in the same year in his debut album “Daydreamin’ ” when he was 22. What a sad song for your birthday. Why…

Even Now / When there’s someone else who cares / When there’s someone home who’s waiting just for me / Even now I think about you as I’m climbing up the stairs / And I wonder what to do so she won’t see / That even now / When I know it wasn’t right
And I found a better life than what we had / Even now I wakeup crying in the middle of the night / And I can’t believe it still could hurt so bad

Even now when I have come so far / I wonder where you are / I wonder why it’s still so hard without you / Even now when I come shining through / I swear I think of you / And how I wish you knew / Even now

Even now / When I never hear your name / And the world has changed so much since you been gone / Even now I still remember and the feeling’s still the same / And the pain inside of me goes on and on / Even now

Even now when I have come so far / I wonder where you are / I wonder why it’s still so hard without you / Even now when I come shining through / I swear I think of you / And God I wish you knew / Some how / Even now…

Until Wednesday.

I am very tired,
already.
