It is always a pleasure to be back in school on the first day after the holidays have ended. So many of us changed handphones?! As though it’s the ‘in’ thing during the holidays. This year’s director’s comm was very entertaining; people are talented. I myself could never have sang like this or performed such a marvelous magic trick in front of a thousand-strong school. DL came as a surprise, I realllly don’t know.. I find myself happy to walk among the crowd, knowing that we were once new to TPDS, new to our classmates, new to the environment and everything else that has now been etched deeply in us. I’m beginning to realise how much I’ll miss school once we graduate, with only a year left.
Haa, what a joke, now everyone knows how I happened to meet Yong in Taiwan. Funny :D Today we were briefed about the new module, that is designing for mobile devices. What a time saver! Bringing our P3 work onto an entirely different platform, and also designing games and pixel art. From this block onwards, till the end of it, my classes would run from 12-3pm and 6-9pm with Italian CDS in the evening. First lesson with Sabrina, I could have died. Italian is crazy! And really fun with her! When she teaches a new grammar structure, I couldn’t stop myself from thinking in terms of Japanese. The days of the week starting from Monday are named after planets in our solar system: Lunedi (the Moon), Martedi (Mars), Mercoledi (Mercury), Giovedi (Jupiter), Venerdi (Venus), Sabato(Saturn) and Domenica (rest day, for Christians), which is just like in Japanese, if you look at the kanji equivalents: getsu , ka, sui, moku, kin, do and nichi respectively. In their number system, 5 is one of the easiest to remember for IMDers because it sounds almost exactly like Qing Hui. Cinque. =D
Oh yes, it’s the end of Ele 2 Jap this Sunday and we have an exam! Wish me luck, I do need it :S Weekdays are so packed that I can only mug on Saturday, but I’d be meeting Claudyne, Cathleen, Mindy (!!) and maybe Sara or Janice… terribly busy week!!
Yet tomorrow, there’s going to be even more people in school because the CCA fair begins. I’m on duty before and after the 12pm class at the tabletennis booth along with Tiffany and some of the girls. Coach mentioned before that the objective is not to attract the most students, but only to let those who at least have experience (if they played tabletennis in pri/sec/jc or outside) join us and no more. He’s trying to lessen the intake because we would have trouble if there’s too many.
Right now I can’t continue, I been having really bad migraines all of a sudden in these few days. Don’t know the reason, all I can describe is that the pain has been throbbing non-stop since the end of Italian class today. It feels like my head could burst or something. Damn, gotta be in school by 9 tomorrow.
