Now that was a good outing on National Day; movie in the evening (finally, of recent films, one that’s worth my every cent!) at Cathay, inexpensive but delectable ribeye steak afterwards at Astons with Grace, Justin, Daniel, Azmi and Joshua, and tao huey~ I still don’t know what’s the hype with that though.. On top of that, I had a good 10 hours of undisturbed sleep that I fell quickly into. Best night of the week, really.
Though we missed the fireworks, I wasn’t disappointed like I might have been if we hadn’t caught UP :3
Talking about Pixar, I’ve never even seen a single of their films in recent years since Monsters Inc. There was probably some reason I stopped wanting to spend money watching cartoons at the movies, but UP *in 3D!* totally had me flabbergasted, and seated tight on the visual and emotional roller-coaster ride. It was such a beautiful and compelling – oh did I mention humourous too? at all the very best moments – movie with a very surreal quality to the concept of a house flown by tens of thousands of balloons landing in a place called Paradise Falls. UP, to me, is really epic because of the art and soundtrack, and is definitely going into my list of favourites. <3
