When I post this blog entry and refresh the page,
it will register as the 100,000th hit :)
It’s been a long way since 2002, the year I started blogging, creating blogs and building websites. Then I took another step forward in 2003 to own my current domain @ Appletastic, which has seen many changes and will go through yet another major revamp soon! *Jumps around*
(Just so you know how important my online life is to me hahaha)

Oh my freak the latest Arashi no Shukudai is crack! It comes on right after News Zero on Monday nights, both of which I caught just now. Out of budget again it seemed; one of their “お金がない” specials plus Aiba’s board game where they all went ‘international’.
I don’t know which is more embarassing – the News Zero caster, following soon after his solemn report on the 64th anniversary of the Nagasaki atomic bombing, dressed up as a China man and having to wear this white frilly band over his hips with a swan head attached, attempting ballet dance to the tune of swan lake.. *お母さんやめて!!*. He strutted around nonchalantly while the swan dangled in mid-air like the most obscene thing ever – or simply the people watching it T_T;
Then afterwards they had him zipped up in a red sleeping bag and applied gold powder all over his face. But then again, who hasn’t seen the worst of Chesuto Sakurai Sho? XD Reminds me of his *swan 吸わん joke that wasn’t even funny. I seriously don’t know what to make out of this. Oh wait — fanart! LOL.
* In Japanese, you say “(tabako o) suwanai” for “I don’t smoke”, which can be shortened to “suwan” as a slang. On D no Arashi (they made him do it as part of a batsu game or something): A person would ask Sho if he smokes たばこ, so with his wrist and arm imitating that of a swan’s head and neck, he replied “swan”. XD
PS: The Ohchan panda-swan-warrior = *SQUEALS!!* ^_^ Too cute!
Now that was a good outing on National Day; movie in the evening (finally, of recent films, one that’s worth my every cent!) at Cathay, inexpensive but delectable ribeye steak afterwards at Astons with Grace, Justin, Daniel, Azmi and Joshua, and tao huey~ I still don’t know what’s the hype with that though.. On top of that, I had a good 10 hours of undisturbed sleep that I fell quickly into. Best night of the week, really.
Though we missed the fireworks, I wasn’t disappointed like I might have been if we hadn’t caught UP :3
Talking about Pixar, I’ve never even seen a single of their films in recent years since Monsters Inc. There was probably some reason I stopped wanting to spend money watching cartoons at the movies, but UP *in 3D!* totally had me flabbergasted, and seated tight on the visual and emotional roller-coaster ride. It was such a beautiful and compelling – oh did I mention humourous too? at all the very best moments – movie with a very surreal quality to the concept of a house flown by tens of thousands of balloons landing in a place called Paradise Falls. UP, to me, is really epic because of the art and soundtrack, and is definitely going into my list of favourites. <3
Read more about UP in the wiki article!
I willingly crawled out of bed to catch Riida’s daily 5-minute segment from the morning radio show. Okay not that I woke up in the first place.. Couldn’t really sleep since 4.30 =p
Listening to: FM Yokohama ヨコハマ 84.7Mhz
Segment: Arashi Discovery by Ohno Satoshi
Time: 6.50-6.55am (JP time)
It definitely feels different from listening to the ones recorded and uploaded by other fans.. Today, a boy in grade 4 called in and he got to talk to Oh-chan (or rather, I suppose his recorded voice? lol!) :3 He likes strawberry shortcakes hahaha! And wants to be a dentist in the future I think. Oh-chan mentioned that soon it will be “Arashi matsuri 嵐祭り” at kokuritsu in late August!! Kick start of 5 x 10 ZOMG! There are many many songs that he wants to sing too, at their 10th anniversary concert tour. The funny high pitched voice in which Oh-chan speaks reminds me of Uta no Oniisan for some reason, not Kenta’s character but just his wacky IMAGE: stripey rainbow pants and all the weird stuff he dons XD
Following that, they played “Believe”! for about a minute before continuing with the show.. Minna san, do you think I can keep up with this everyday? Hahaha! I hope so! I wonder if Bunka hoso 文化放送 comes on only at this time of the day? It didn’t appear all day actually. Otherwise, I’ll be able to tune in to Aiba’s “Aiba Masaki のレコメン” and Kinki Kid’s “Kinki Kids どんなもんヤ!” on the same fm channel. Plus others like MatsuJun’s “Jun Style” on Nack5, Nino’s “Bay Storm” on Bayfm (which doesn’t show up at all! gah!) and Okada Junichi’s “Growing Reed” on J-wave (well I haven’t been following Junichi a lot other than his dramas and films, so him having a radio show makes me really curious!).
そう、僕らはずっと待ってる〜
