APPLETASTIC

I saw Norwegian Wood last weekend and thought it was nice enough material for me to pick up my pen to begin sketching again after ages of neglect in favour of positioning my mindset as a designer’s, but let’s not digress. My attempts at observational sketching are usually sloppy so I was hoping to do something about this.. Guess I just haven’t figured how to go about shading hair nor filling in the blanks realistically.

Don’t Matsuyama Kenichi and Kikuchi Rinko look just really cute together? <3 Making screen caps had made me realise, as I scroll through the different scenes, how this film is definitely growing on me; I'd just have to delve deeper, and start seeing.

Planning for another batch of sketches and perhaps add some colours. More later.

This is the first time I’m up before 3 and stepping outdoors on a Saturday in months. Been too busy to sleep, too tired to stay awake, having immersed myself in work and nothing else. After almost a year of maintaining my current hairstyle, I’m going to be sporting a new one after the visit to KIZUKI+LIM later, which is by the way a recommendation by most of my colleagues. It’s just about time I need something refreshing right now.

泣けるほど苦しい。
何で私たちはそんなになってしまったの。
私は友達として弱くて、自己中心ばっかりで、大切なことを面倒くさく見ている程度に本当は最低だ。
多分私のせいだったのに、申し上げないって言葉は難しすぎる。
皆の傷はどうやって直せばいいの。
誰か正しい道を見せてくれないか。

I just want to let go.

I’ll speak my mind, I’ll say very mean things but I won’t. Because this is so not worth it.

Yet I did.

今回の地震で被害に遭われた皆様に、心よりお悔やみ、お見舞い申し上げます。

連日の報道を見れば見るほど、知れば知るほど、被災された皆さんのことが、とても心配です。

沢山のファンの方が、僕らのことまで気にかけて下さっていると聞きましたが、僕たちは全員大丈夫です。ご安心下さい。

いま、節電・節水・緊急時以外の電話の使用を控えること・義援金の協力…、東京にいる僕たちができることに努めています。きっと、小さなことの積み重ねが大きな力になることを信じて。

僕たちの活動の中で、できることは限られていると思いますが、“皆さんが少しでも笑顔になれるように…”と想いをこめて、目の前にあることに全力で取り組んでいきます。

被災地の皆さんにとって、まだまだ予断を許さない状況は続いているとは思いますが、ご家族やお友達、周りの方々と励ましあって、何とか今を乗り越えられるよう、メンバー一同願っています。
